Got a weird text from my own number last week

I was at home in Phoenix when my phone buzzed with a text that looked like it was from my own number. It said 'Your Netflix account is locked, click here to verify.' I knew it was a scam, but it was the first time I'd seen a spoofed number that was exactly mine. I just deleted it and reported it as junk. Has anyone else gotten a spoofed text from their own number, and what did you do?

Whoa, that's a new level of creepy. Getting a scam text from your own number would totally mess with your head for a second. I haven't seen that one yet, but it sounds like the worst kind of spam.

Yeah, "mess with your head" is right. I got one from my mom's number once.
