Bought a used 1986 Smith-Corona typewriter for $40 at a garage sale and it completely changed how I draft stories now.
No autocorrect, no spell check, just me and the keys forcing me to commit to every word before it hits the page. Has anyone else tried switching mediums to break out of a writing rut?

Oh man, that's exactly what happened when I finally ditched my laptop for a cheap old typewriter I found at a thrift store. Something about the physical thunk of the keys just made me stop second-guessing every sentence and actually get the story down.

Oh YES, totally feel you on this. There's just SOMETHING about that physical feedback that makes your brain switch gears and stop overthinking. I swear, sometimes we need to make writing a little harder to actually get it done.
