I finally decided the 'flat earth' thing was a waste of time after a 3-hour argument with my cousin.

I used to think engaging with those ideas was important, but that whole night just showed me it's a closed loop designed to waste your energy, not find truth.

Reminds me of my uncle who collects those tiny spoons from every state. The whole wall in his den is just weird little spoons. Used to give him so much crap for it as a kid, but now I get it. That collection is his thing, it makes him happy, and it costs me nothing to let him have it. People need their harmless weird stuff.
