Office admin swapped all our Dell monitors for cheap off-brands

Came in Monday morning and saw the new monitors on every desk in the office, they looked fine from the front but the viewing angles were terrible. After three days of eye strain and headaches I finally checked the settings and realized the refresh rate was locked at 60Hz with no way to change it. Anyone else dealt with a bulk monitor swap that ruined productivity?

Oh come on, is it really that bad? I've used plenty of cheap monitors over the years and never had headaches from a locked 60Hz refresh rate. Maybe adjust your brightness or take breaks every hour, that usually sorts out eye strain for me.

My friend Jake had this exact thing happen at his office last year. After three days of headaches he brought in his own personal monitor from home and put it on his desk, the admin actually got mad at him for it.
