Back in 2019 I was at a Cisco Live in San Diego and a vendor showed me a fiber splicing tool that changed how I think about patch panels
After watching them fix a broken LC connector in under 90 seconds instead of the usual 15 minute re-termination I was doing, has anyone else found a single tool that completely reworked your whole approach to cabling?

Oh man, that's wild! A buddy of mine works in IT for a school district and he told me about this time a vendor showed him a little handheld tester that could map out a whole cable run in like 10 seconds. He was using one of those old tone generators and probe before, spending 20 minutes crawling under desks to figure out which cable went where. He said it was one of those moments where you just stare at the tool and wonder why you wasted so much time doing it the hard way. I don't blame him one bit for being obsessed with it after that.

Wait, you mean there's a tool that actually finishes fast instead of making you look like a clumsy octopus with bad hand-eye coordination? Because my fiber splicing routine usually involves dropping the ferrule on the floor at least twice, then spending five minutes trying not to yell while the little ceramic tip rolls under the server rack. That 90-second fix sounds like pure witchcraft compared to my usual 15-minute panic session where I end up with epoxy on my glasses and a mangled connector I have to toss anyway. I honestly don't know if I'd believe it unless I saw it myself, but I also don't know if I'd trust myself to use it without somehow breaking the alignment in the first ten seconds. Was this thing affordable or did it cost more than my entire tool bag combined?
