Showerthought: The guy at the comic shop said he's read the same 12-issue run 7 times
I was picking up my pull list at The Nook in Springfield and overheard a guy talking to the owner. He said he's read the 'House of X' run by Hickman exactly seven times since it came out. He wasn't bragging, just stating it like a fact. It made me think about what we get out of re-reading stuff that much. For him, it must be like comfort food in book form. I've re-read a few favorites, but never hit double digits. What's the one story you've gone back to the most, and why do you think that is?

You ever re-read something so much you start to notice new stuff each time? I've probably read the first trade of Saga like five times, it just feels like home.

Isn't it wild how a book can change because you did? My fifth time through Watchmen, I finally clocked how often a smiley face shows up in the background of scenes before the big reveal. It was always there, but I only saw it when I was looking for something broken.
