Saw a guy at the local con reading a comic upside down on purpose

I was at the Phoenix Fan Fusion last Saturday and this older dude in the back corner was holding a Batman issue upside down, just flipping pages normally. He wasn't messing around either, he had a stack of comics and did it with each one. Made me wonder if there's some trick to reading comics that way I don't know about or if he was just bored. Has anyone else seen something like that at a convention?

Honestly @mason.paige that's wild but did the guy say how long it took his brain to actually get used to reading art upside down? Or was it instant for him?

Oh wow I used to think that was just some weird flex too honestly. But then I saw this guy at a con doing the same thing and actually stopped to ask him about it. He said flipping comics upside down changes how you see the panel layouts and the flow of the art. Like your brain has to process the page differently and you notice little details you'd miss reading normal. He showed me a double page spread from this old Swamp Thing issue and my god it actually worked. The composition made way more sense when I looked at it upside down. So yeah that guy probably knows something cool about comic art that most of us don't.
