Question about failing a midterm and turning it around

I bombed my calc 2 midterm at UT Austin last week got a 54. I spent the next 5 days in the library grinding practice problems and went to every office hours session. Has anyone else managed to recover from a bad grade like this?

54 on a calc 2 midterm isn't even that bad honestly, I got a 47 on my first discrete math test and ended with a B+. Spending 5 days straight grinding problems actually shows you care enough to turn it around.

Study for 5 days straight? That's called a crash course, not recovery, man. But hey, if you actually retained any of it you might just squeak by. Good luck not dreaming about integrals tonight.
