My travel French press exploded in a Denver hotel room

I was making my morning cup on a work trip last month and the glass carafe just cracked from the heat. Hot grounds and water went everywhere, all over the white bedspread and carpet. I had to use every towel in the place to clean it up, and the room smelled like burnt coffee for my whole stay. I ended up buying a cheap plastic pour-over from a corner store to get by. Has anyone found a truly durable travel brewer that can handle being tossed in a bag?

That sounds like a total nightmare to clean up.

Wait, you saw the part about the glitter, right? That stuff gets everywhere forever. It would be in the floorboards, the air vents, probably in your hair for weeks. Just the thought of trying to sweep it all up makes me tired. Honestly, a full-on glitter spill is one of those things you never really recover from. Your house would just be sparkly from now on.
