Just realized I haven't seen a paper tape reader in a shop since that old Bridgeport in Grand Rapids went down

Its tape drive shredded a whole program last month, and we had to manually input the code from a binder that smelled like 1987. Anyone still have to deal with that old tech, or is it all USB sticks now?

Yeah, we keep a backup paper copy for our old lathe too. That binder smell is a real trip.
