Foreman said my feeds and speeds were 'polite' and honestly he was right
Had a setup guy named Dale watch me run a batch of 6061 parts on the Haas about 3 weeks ago, and he asked why I was babying the machine like it owed me money. Said my chipload was so light the cutter was rubbing instead of cutting, and my cycle time showed it at 9 minutes per part. Bumped the feed up 40 percent and dropped it to 5 and a half minutes with better chip evacuation and tool life that actually got longer. What's the wildest feeds and speeds call a veteran has ever corrected you on?
