I was sure electric cars were just a fad until I drove one in Portland

My friend let me try her Nissan Leaf for a weekend trip to the coast, and I was shocked by how quiet and smooth it was. The charging station map showed over 50 spots just in our neighborhood, which totally changed my mind about the hassle. Has anyone else had a specific experience that flipped their view on a green tech?

Try hauling a trailer with an electric truck. The instant torque makes it feel effortless compared to my old gas truck.

That point about instant torque is so true. It's not just about power, it's about how the whole driving feel changes when you don't have to wait for an engine to get going. Makes you wonder why we put up with the noise and vibration of gas engines for so long, doesn't it?
