PSA: The sourdough starter craze is officially over in my kitchen
Three years ago, every line cook I knew in Austin was begging for a piece of my starter. Last month, I threw out my backup jar after it sat untouched in the fridge for a full year. Last week, my new prep guy asked what the weird jar was, and I just said 'old science project.' Has anyone else's kitchen fully moved on from the sourdough obsession?

Turned mine into crackers last fall, they were actually pretty good.

Read an article about that in a gardening magazine. They said the key is getting all the moisture out before you bake them. Otherwise they can turn chewy instead of crisp. A little olive oil and salt worked well for the recipe I saw. Might have to give it a try this year if the squirrels leave any for me.
