Watching my neighbor in Austin get a $12k sewer line bill after closing

It happened right after they moved in last month, and their inspection missed it completely. How do you even check for something like that before you buy?

Man, that's brutal, @jesse_barnes37. My cousin had an inspector totally miss a cracked heat exchanger last year, which was a whole scary gas leak situation. They ended up in a weird fight with the inspection company over what "working order" actually meant.

Yeah, that's a nightmare scenario (and @piper175's story is scary too). I'd be so mad at that inspector.
