My flight to Lisbon cost half as much after I changed my search day

I was looking at flights from Chicago for a trip in October and they were around $850 on a Tuesday. I checked again on a Friday and the same flight was down to $425. I guess airlines update their prices mid week. Has anyone else found a specific day that works best for booking?

Wait, from $850 to $425? That's insane, I've never seen a price cut that big just from switching days.

Yeah, that midweek price drop is real. I swear by checking on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, late at night. Airlines seem to mess with their systems then. Saved a ton doing that for a trip to Barcelona last year.
