Just lost a full day in Prague to a 'free' walking tour scam
I saw a flyer for a 'free' historical tour of Prague's Old Town, which sounded perfect. The guide spent the first 45 minutes just walking us to the starting point, then gave a rushed, 30-minute talk before demanding a 20 euro 'mandatory tip' per person, getting really pushy. My partner and I ended up paying 40 euros total for basically nothing, and it wasted our whole morning. Has anyone else run into these aggressive 'free tour' setups in other cities, and what's a real budget-friendly alternative?
