Can we talk about peel and stick tile on bathroom walls
I used to think peel and stick tile was the best budget fix for a ugly bathroom. But after watching my neighbor's tiles start falling off after 5 months I changed my mind. The issue is moisture. Bathrooms get humid and the adhesive just can't hold on drywall long term. I tested this myself by putting a small piece in my shower area and it peeled off in 3 weeks. Now I think peel and stick is fine for floors but not for walls where water hits it. Has anyone else had their tiles fail in a damp room?

Twenty bucks says he used Dawn dish soap and water. People think clean means wet, not chemically clean. I did the same thing my first time and my tiles fell off faster than my apprentice on a ladder. The alcohol trick helps but it's like putting lipstick on a pig in a bathroom. Humidity seeps behind those tiles eventually no matter how clean the wall is. Stick to peel and stick for the backsplash in a dry kitchen or a rental floor you hate. Save yourself the headache.
