Frozen veggies beat fresh for my $40 weekly meal prep
Everyone in my family swears fresh produce is the only way, but I swapped to frozen green beans and broccoli at the Kroger on 5th Street last month. I got 4 bags for $7 total, and they actually lasted the full week without going slimy like the $12 fresh bundles did. The texture is a little softer, but for soups and stir fries I honestly can't tell the difference. Anyone else ditch fresh for frozen to stretch their grocery budget?

Man, this is exactly how I've been feeling lately! It's wild how we're trained to think fresh is always better, but frozen stuff is honestly the secret hack for real life. I noticed the same thing with my own groceries and it made me wonder if we're all just paying for the "fresh" label when the frozen aisle does the heavy lifting.
