Remember when we all mixed mortar in a wheelbarrow with a hoe?

Now my crew uses a portable mixer for every job over 50 blocks. Anyone still hand-mixing for smaller projects, or is it all machines now?

Man, that "over 50 blocks" rule is smart. I mean, I still hand mix for a repair job or a tiny patio, but anything that feels like real work, I rent a mixer. My back just can't do the wheelbarrow thing all day anymore. It's not even about speed, it's about not being wrecked for tomorrow.
