Hot take: sharpening my own trowels beats buying new ones every time

Been using a cheap harbor freight set for two years. Finally spent 20 bucks on a diamond stone and learned to edge them myself. Way better control on the brick face now. Anyone else ditch factory edges for a hand sharpened one?

Oh man, that's exactly what I did with my margin trowels a few months back. Night and day difference once you get that edge right, feels like cheating.

Whoa wait, @karenw90 you're telling me you can actually feel a difference on margin trowels too? I figured those were too small to matter but now I'm tempted to dig my old ones out of the truck.
