Last week my peace lily finally bloomed after 3 years of nothing

I got this peace lily from my grandma's funeral back in 2021 and it just sat there being green. No flowers at all, no matter what I tried. Last Tuesday I woke up and there was this weird white thing poking out of the leaves. Turns out I was watering it too much the whole time, soon as I cut back to once a week it finally popped. Has anyone else had a plant that took forever to flower after you changed one little thing?

Yeah totally, I had a snake plant that did nothing for two years until I stopped watering it completely for like a month and then it shot up three new pups out of nowhere.

Same thing happened with my orchids! I was convinced they needed constant misting and once a week water, but they just sat there looking miserable. Cut back to every 10 days and suddenly I got three blooms. @ryan_carr59 your snake plant story is wild though, I never stopped watering mine completely but maybe I should try that for my stubborn aloe. The peace lily is such a drama queen about it, they really just want you to neglect them a little.
