My book club's president said skip the first three chapters of Cloud Atlas and I'm still mad about it
So our book club president told everyone to skip the first three chapters of Cloud Atlas because they're 'too confusing' and we'd come back to them later. I followed her advice and honestly felt lost the whole time, the connections between stories never clicked for me like they should have. Two other members read the whole thing in order and said it was a completely different experience, way more rewarding. Has anyone else ever been given a 'skip this part' tip that ruined the book for them?
