Vent: A 30-year hand told me to skip the grinder on tube welds, and my X-ray came back clean
He said the prep work on the bevel matters more than any power tool, and after 12 tubes at the Gary job came back with zero defects, I'm a believer. Anyone else had a seasoned guy hand them advice that sounded lazy but actually held up?

Clean x-ray just means you got lucky once.
