Found a cheap trick for keeping my welding helmet lens clean on big jobs
I was working a big boiler tube repair up in Gary, Indiana last month and the smoke and grime was building up on my auto-darkening lens so fast I could barely see after an hour. I remembered an old guy I worked with 4 years ago telling me to keep a dryer sheet in my bag. Took a used Bounce sheet and wiped the lens with it once and the static cling pulled the dust right off. Worked way better than those expensive lens wipes I usually buy. I went through a whole 8 hour shift without having to stop and clean it once. Has anyone else got a weird trick for this that I should try?

Went through half a pack of dryer sheets before I realized they don't work so good when they're fresh out the box and still damp lmao. Guess the static only kicks in after they've been used a bit

Wait you used a whole half a pack before you figured it out? That's like a solid 50 wasted sheets man.
