Can we talk about the difference in weld quality after switching to a proper gas lens?

I used to get so much soot and undercut on my TIG work, but after swapping to a Furick Cup setup last month, the bead is just clean and shiny now. Anyone else find a specific tool that made that big of a jump for them?

Wait, isn't a Furick Cup just a big cup, not a gas lens?

Yeah, the gas lens was a game changer for me too... it's all about that smooth, wide gas blanket. Getting rid of turbulence is what really stops the soot and lets you see the puddle clearly.
