Realized I was shuffling wrong after 8 years of Catan
My buddy Matt called me out last Friday night. Said my mash shuffle was ruining the cards. I've been doing it that way since college. He showed me the bridge shuffle in 30 seconds. Made the game feel totally different. Has anyone else had a basic habit get busted late in the game?

stellafisher said it changed their view completely, which got me wondering - what exactly was the 'before' you were comparing to? Like were you pile shuffling or just doing some random overhand thing? Cause I feel like there's a big gap between 'not optimal' and 'actually ruining cards'. My buddy Matt called me out the same way and I was just mashing them together like a deck of bicycle cards from walgreens, bending edges and everything.
