Watched my buddy use a five gallon bucket with a tight lid for years. Always thought it was way too simple to work right until I saw how little mess it made. The whole thing just lives under his bench, takes up no space, and the water stays clean for ages. Changed my mind about needing some big fancy setup real quick, honestly just got tired of walking back and forth to the hose.

Yeah, a clean setup really does change everything. The big trick is just keeping that water fresh and skimmed, plus having a solid lid to keep forge scale and other junk from falling in when it’s not in use. Placing the tub where you won’t trip over it is half the battle won right there.
