Bought a 'professional' coal forge off a guy in a parking lot for $200. It was just a rusty brake drum with a hair dryer taped to it.

Saw a video where someone made one just like that... honestly works better than you'd think for the price.

My own DIY attempts usually end up looking like a kindergartner's art project.
