My barber mentioned the show 'Severance' is filmed like a puzzle you have to solve, which totally changed how I watched it.
I mean, after he said that in Philly last week, I started noticing all these tiny background clues about the characters' lives outside the office, and now I'm wondering if anyone else has a show where knowing one little fact made the whole binge way better.

Nah, I totally get the appeal of looking for clues, but honestly that kind of ruins a show for me. If I'm constantly pausing to check the background for hints, I stop feeling the story. It turns watching into homework. I'd rather just get pulled into the world and let the big reveals hit me naturally. For me, knowing too much about how a show is made just takes the magic out of it.

My barber in Philly said the same thing about Westworld.

Lol my barber is the one who got me into overanalyzing shows in the first place. He'd spend the whole cut breaking down the symbolism in True Detective while I just sat there trying not to move. Now I can't watch anything without making it a puzzle.
