Took me about 6 months to find a cheap dish soap that actually cuts grease, so I get the pain. What finally worked was buying the tiny bottles first instead of the big jugs, because nothing hurts more than being stuck with a gallon of junk. I kept a note on my phone with the ones that failed so I would not buy them again by mistake. The store brand at my local grocery ended up beating the fancy stuff, and it was like $3. If you almost quit twice, you are tougher than me, I gave up like 5 times lol.
