Hot take: my coupon binder from 2009 beat every app I have now
Back around 2009 I kept a fat three ring binder with baseball card sleeves and hit the Kroger on Lamar in Austin every Sunday with the paper inserts, and I walked out with $47 in groceries for about $12. Now I have four cash back apps and a digital wallet and I still forget to clip the offers before I get to the register. The part that bugs me is the paper ones stacked, so a $1 off two boxes turned into $3 off six, and the apps never let you do that. I miss being able to see everything at once instead of tapping through screens in the checkout line. Does anyone still run a paper binder, or did you all give in to the apps?
