Dropped my phone in the toilet on a Tuesday and fixed it for $6.50
Panicked and almost bought a new one at the Verizon store in Fresno, but a guy at the kiosk told me to dunk it in rubbing alcohol and swap the battery for $6.50. Anyone else ever gamble on a DIY fix instead of just paying full price for a replacement?

Read somewhere that alcohol works because it pushes the water out and dries way faster than rice does. rice is basically a myth for phones, it just sits there doing nothing while the inside stays wet. your kiosk guy knew his stuff
