Coupon stacking got me banned from a local hardware chain
Shopwright's tool aisle special last month felt like a win until the rebate came back rejected. Bought a $140 drill set after seeing a mail-in rebate form printed crooked on the shelf, and I filled it out with store code stuff from the front desk like it said. The envelope returned six weeks later with a note about missing a receipt date stamp, even though the receipt clearly had one. So I called customer service and they said the rebate center uses a different system than the store, so the stamp wasn't accepted. Has anyone else had rebates denied over tiny fine print details that the store never mentioned at checkout?

That is so frustrating, sorry you had to deal with that mess over a stupid date stamp. Rebate centers pull this stuff all the time and it feels like they count on people just giving up.
