Split opinions on adding fees for precision line work in haircuts
Lately, I've noticed a shift in how barbers in my town price their work. More shops are listing separate charges for things like crisp line-ups and fancy designs on fades. On one hand, some barbers I know say this lets them get paid for their extra skill and time. They feel it's fair because not every client wants those details. On the other hand, I've heard complaints from customers who feel nickel-and-dimed when they just need a basic cut. In my own chair, I started offering detailed line-ups as an add-on, but it led to confusion at the register. Now I'm debating if it's better to keep all services included in one price. I'd love to hear how others handle this.

Totally get the "confusion at the register" thing (had the same mess at my chair). It's why I just bumped my base price up and kept it simple.

Just hide the fee in the price, saves everyone the headache later.

You know what? I always thought itemizing was clearer for folks. But hearing how much smoother your flat rate works, I've changed my tune.
