Showerthought: I used to freehand all my fades and now I rely on a $30 trimmer guide
Back in 2018 at my shop in Austin I'd just eyeball it with clippers and a comb, but after I messed up a guy's fade real bad he walked out with a refund and I switched to those adjustable guides. Has anyone else found they lean on guides more than they thought they would?

Isn't it funny how we trade raw skill for convenience as we get older?

That whole "trade raw skill" thing hits different for me, I actually got way better at my craft once I stopped wasting time on the busy work.
