Just read that sourdough starters can live for over 100 years
I was looking at a blog from a bakery in San Francisco and they mentioned the Boudin Bakery sourdough starter. It's been going since 1849, which is wild to think about. That means it's older than my great-grandparents. Makes me wonder how many people have fed it over the years. Anyone else have a starter with a cool backstory?

That Boudin starter is crazy old. My neighbor has one from her grandma's farm in the 1920s. It makes the best pancakes.

Actually, @reese177, Boudin is a bakery. Their starter is from 1849, not the 1920s. Still crazy old though.
