A customer at the Saturday farmers market made my week

This past weekend, a woman came back to my stall just to tell me the lemon lavender scones she bought were the best she'd ever had. She said they reminded her of her grandmother's baking in Savannah. It happened right as I was starting to pack up, feeling a bit tired. That one comment kept me smiling the whole drive home. Has a simple compliment from a customer ever made your day like that?

Okay but "made my week" seems like a lot for a compliment on baked goods. People say nice stuff all the time. I got told my coffee was "life-changing" once and I just thought, dude, it's just coffee. It's a nice moment but then you go home and the feeling fades. It's not like it pays the bills or fixes a real bad day.

People forget how much weight a real, specific compliment carries. It's not just nice words, it's proof your work actually landed with someone. Those small moments of connection are what make the grind worth it. Lets you know you're doing more than just selling a thing.
