Hitting 10,000 wire terminations without a single rework, still weird

I was tallying up my logbook from my last 14 years on the bench in Dayton and realized I just passed 10,000 terminal lugs crimped, not counting the ones I did in the field on Gulfstreams. That number surprised me because I still remember my first week when my lead handed back a whole harness I had to redo over a bad crimp on a D-sub pin, and now it feels like it's just muscle memory. Anyone else keep a running count of their terminations or is that just my OCD side showing?

Fourteen years and 10,000 crimps is a hell of a milestone, and I get why it feels weird. That first bad harness sticks with you because it taught you the standard, and now your hands just know when it's right. I don't keep a count myself, but I respect anyone who does, because that kind of record shows real pride in the work.
