Helping a new guy with a brake job taught me more about teaching than any training video.

My uncle taught me how to tune a carb on his old truck when I was sixteen. The way he explained the air and fuel mix made the whole idea of engines click for me. That basic understanding helped me figure out way more modern stuff later on. Sometimes the old ways give you the best foundation.

My buddy learned the same thing fixing a carburetor last week.

But hold up, isn't fixing a carb just learning about old stuff? Most cars now use fuel injection, so that skill is kinda pointless. What's your buddy gonna do when he opens a modern engine bay? It's like learning to repair a cassette tape when everyone streams music. Why waste time on past tech? Shouldn't we focus on what's used today?
