My dad told me to always ask for the manager's discount, even when I'm not the manager. Tried it at a car parts place last month and it actually worked.

Honestly that's kind of brilliant. It relies on the fact that most workers won't question it to avoid looking dumb. Just feels like a quick way to get on a store's blacklist though.
