Just saw my 'Ask Anything' post count hit 500, and it hit me different than I thought it would.

My buddy hit a big milestone on his blog last year and said it felt hollow, like he was just counting things. The number itself didn't mean much until he looked back at a few old posts and saw how far his writing had actually come. It's weird how the big round numbers can feel empty without the real progress behind them.

Ever notice how we do that with birthdays too? The number feels weird until you look at old pictures and see how much you've changed.
