Old-school hand pruning vs battery powered saws on a big maple job

Tackled a huge silver maple last week that I would have climbed with hand pruners 20 years ago. Pulled out my old Silky saw for the fine cuts and a battery powered one for the heavy stuff and the difference in time was crazy. Anybody else mix old and new gear on the same tree or am I just being nostalgic?

Man I been doing the same thing. Silky for the delicate stuff where I want control and the battery saw for chunks and it saves so much time. The key is knowing when to grab which one before you start cutting.
