I hit 1,000 service calls last Tuesday and I still can't decide if that number means I'm good or just old
Honestly I was logging my ticket for a dryer vent cleanout in Columbus when the app popped up a little badge saying I crossed 1,000 calls since I started tracking 3 years ago. Half of me felt like that number proves I've put in the reps, but the other half wonders how many of those were the same 3 fixes over and over, like a clogged drain pump or a burned out heating element. Some guys I know brag about call volume like it's a scoreboard, but I've also met techs who do 300 calls a year and never get a callback, so which one actually means you know your stuff? Curious what number you all would call a real milestone in this trade, because right now mine feels more like a streak than a skill.

Ha, my buddy hit 500 calls at his shop and still calls me for advice on weird furnace codes, so volume ain't the whole story. He finally figured out his real milestone was going 6 months with zero callbacks, not any number on an app. Yours might just be a streak now, but streaks turn into skill if you're actually learning from the repeats lol.
