A weird fridge compressor noise had me stumped for a full day

Got a service call yesterday for a fridge making a loud buzzing sound. The homeowner said it started three days ago. I checked the usual stuff, fan motors and relays, and everything seemed fine. The noise was actually coming from the compressor itself, but it was running cold. I ended up pulling the whole unit out and found a tiny piece of broken plastic from the drip tray wedged against the housing, making it vibrate. It was a simple fix, but finding it took forever. Anyone else run into a weird vibration noise that wasn't the compressor failing?

Ever check if the drip tray itself was cracked?

Plastic bits are the worst. Usually the tray itself is fine, but a broken piece gets loose and finds the one spot that makes a racket.
