Just got my old iMac G4 running after a decade in the garage
It was dead as a doornail last week, but swapping the PRAM battery for a new CR2032 brought it right back to life. Anyone know a good source for replacement speakers? The ones in the dome are totally shot.

Oh nice! I mean, just a heads up though, that was probably the main system battery, not the PRAM battery. The PRAM battery is a little different, it's a BR2032 and it's soldered on the board. The one in the easy clip is for keeping time when it's unplugged. Glad it worked either way! For the speakers, I had to just find a parts machine on eBay for mine. The dome ones are a real pain to find by themselves.

You mentioned the PRAM battery is soldered on. Is that a job for someone with just basic soldering skills, or does it get really tricky with the board layout? I've done capacitor swaps on old game consoles, but those boards had more space. The idea of messing up a logic board makes me pause. Did you have to use a lot of flux or a specific tip to get the old one off cleanly?
