Vent: Our anime chat stopped a pointless fight over spoilers

My friends got mad when someone leaked a big plot twist from the new season. We made a rule to use spoiler tags, and now our talks are smooth and no one gets upset. Do you have spoiler rules that work for your group?

Ever hear about my friend's spoiler jail? First to spoil buys pizza.

Our book club uses a 48 hour blackout rule for new releases. It gives everyone a fair shot to finish without pressure. That simple time limit has saved us so many arguments.

Yeah, the spoiler tag rule... my friend's group had to do something similar after someone just casually mentioned a major character death in a group chat. It was for a show that had just aired that day, and it totally ruined it for three people who hadn't watched it yet. They all agreed on using a specific purple text color for any spoilers, and a two-week grace period after an episode airs.
