That one Reddit comment that made me stop fast-forwarding filler arcs
Some user said I was missing the "breather episodes" that let character relationships develop naturally. I ignored them at first, but after skipping through 8 episodes of One Piece to get back to the main story, I realized I had no clue why the crew was acting so buddy-buddy. Has anyone else had a random forum post completely shift how they watch a show?

One time someone pointed out that skipping the training arc in Hunter x Hunter meant I missed why the characters trusted each other so much during fights. Now I actually watch those episodes where nothing plot important happens and it changed everything for me.

Nothing plot important happens" are dangerous words. I zoned out during Goku driving lessons and missed why Krillin mattered.
