My new rule after a bad install: visible sensors only

Seeing the sensor makes people think twice before trying anything.

Oh totally! I went all out with a big, ugly camera dome over my front door, even though the thing inside is just a cheap plastic shell. The delivery guys see it and actually put the packages right up against the door now instead of just tossing them. My neighbor asked if my HOA approved it and I just said "safety first!" with a wink.

Just slap a blinking red light on anything and call it a sensor. People will avoid it like the plague. My fake 'laser grid' is just red yarn.

Honestly, that's genius... my attempt was a string of those cheap holiday lights that just flash. Looked less like a security system and more like a sad party no one came to. Even I wouldn't have been fooled by it.
