Finally got my A&P after failing the oral on hydraulics twice

I mean, I wasted like $400 on retake fees because I kept blanking on the reservoir pressurization section. Anyone else have a specific system that just wouldn't stick?

Man, reservoirs got me too. What finally worked for me was drawing the whole system on a whiteboard over and over, explaining it out loud like I was teaching a class. For pressurization, just drilling the three main methods - engine bleed, hydraulic pump, and stored air - on flashcards until I could say them in my sleep.

Did you ever try making a voice recording of your explanation? I mean, hearing myself stumble through it helped me find the gaps in my own understanding.
