Used to skip borescopes thinking they were a hassle. Learned my lesson after missing a problem that cost me a weekend. Now I feel like an idiot for ever avoiding them.

You thought they were a hassle for a reason, and that reason still holds up. They take time and gear that isn't always on hand, which can slow down simple jobs. Skipping them isn't always a bad call, just bad luck in your case.
